In latest news from Uttarakhand, Nainital police have shared posters of nine miscreants who were allegedly involved in the violence and arson that erupted in Vanbhulpura area of Haldwani on February 8 in the wake of the anti-encroachment drive, resulting in deaths of at least five persons and injuries of many, including police personnel and administration and civic body employees besides media persons. Police teams, constituted to identify and arrest the miscreants, have already apprehended 42 persons and seized illegal firearms and cartridges so far on the basis of CCTV footages and witnesses’ accounts. While releasing pictures of nine accused, police appealed to the people to contact Nainital police on numbers- 9411112743/9411112741, 9411110396- and police control room on numbers- 9411112979 and 9412087770-if they any information about them to share.
