Polio drive 2021 Dehradun
In the first pulse polio drive of the year 2021, the health department will administer the polio drops to over two lakh children in Dehradun district till February 6.
The district health department along with the National Health Mission (NHM) started this drive on Sunday from Gandhi Shatabdi Eye Hospital by administering polio drops to infants. According to the chief medical officer (CMO), Dr Anoop Kumar Dimri, 1,470 polio booths have been established in six blocks of the district to provide polio drops to around 2,21,070 children of less than five years of age till this Sunday. According to him, the health department has trained all the frontline workers to carry out immunization drive by taking appropriate measures as a preventive measure against Covid-19 contagion. He also appealed to guardians to wear face masks and follow all the guidelines of Covid-19 while taking their kids to polio booths for administering polio drops.
