The date of the opening of the portals of the world-renowned Shrine Yamunotri has been announced. It is learnt that the shrine would be reopened for the pilgrims after the six-month winter break on April 22, on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. The tirth purohit of the shrine Purusottham Uniyal said that at 8 AM on April 22, the doli of goddess Yamuna would depart from her winter abode Kharsali and would reach the Yamunotri dham at 12.41 pm the same day.
