Positivity Rate increasing alarmingly in U’khand

All districts of Uttarakhand barring Haridwar have more than 10 percent positivity rate in the last few days. The experts are suggesting that the governments should enforce lockdown in the areas which have more than 10 percent positivity.
The data of Social Development for Communities (SDC) Foundation suggests that the state had an overall positivity rate of 17.5 percent in the last one week ( April 28 to May 4). In this period 237156 tests were done and out of which 41489 samples were positive. Nainital has a positivity rate of 28.6 percent which is highest in the state. It is followed by Rudraprayag (27.9), Tehri (26.6), Udham Singh Nagar (25.1), Dehradun (25), Pauri (24.6) and Chamoli (22.3). The founder of SDC foundation Anoop Nautiyal said that the situation of Covid-19 is very critical in Uttarakhand.
