Friday, 12 APRIL 2024 | PNS | DEHRADUN
In latest news from Doon, the power tariff is all set to be hiked, post-poll. As per the Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission sources, despite the opposition to the move to effect a steep hike in one go, they have made preparations to announce the rise in the tariff rate in April-May.
The consumers are all set to receive tariff hike shock twice in April. The first bill they received in the first week of April gave the first hike shock as the Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) had hiked the tariff at the rate of seven paisa per unit by way of adjustment and after the April 19 polling, the tariff is to be raised again as UPCL will send bills with hiked tariff for the whole year.
