Prashant Karulkar, a Mumbai-based strategic investor and capital-market professional, has emerged as a key figure behind the listing and subsequent trading of Lord’s Mark Industries on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Main Board.
Lord’s Mark Industries made its market debut on July 10, 2026, in an event that attracted considerable attention in financial circles. Following its listing, the company’s shares witnessed strong market activity, hitting upper circuits for 10 consecutive trading sessions.
The listing followed a complex corporate restructuring process involving Kratos Energy & Infrastructure Ltd, a company listed on the BSE Main Board. Lord’s Mark Industries had approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in connection with the acquisition of Kratos Energy & Infrastructure Ltd through the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) framework. As part of the reverse-merger process, the equity base expanded from approximately 10 lakh shares of Kratos Energy & Infrastructure Ltd to nearly 42 crore shares.
Dr Sachidanand Hariram Upadhyay, Managing Director and CEO of Lord’s Mark Industries, credited Karulkar with playing a significant role in navigating the regulatory and procedural challenges associated with the listing.
According to Upadhyay, the company faced several legal and regulatory hurdles while seeking approval for listing and trading. He said Karulkar, who was the company’s largest investor, played an important role in facilitating communication between the company and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
“Numerous rounds of meetings were held, queries were addressed, and relevant laws and legal opinions were examined,” Upadhyay said, adding that the efforts eventually led to the listing approval being granted on May 29, 2026. He further said Karulkar helped address subsequent procedural requirements with the BSE, culminating in trading approval on June 8, 2026, followed by the company’s listing on July 10.
Karulkar’s involvement in the capital markets extends beyond Lord’s Mark Industries. Over the years, he has been associated with various IPOs and high-value capital-market transactions as an early-stage investor. He also has interests across several business sectors.
His profile has also attracted attention beyond the financial markets, with reports linking him to security arrangements provided by the Maharashtra Government. His business activities and social initiatives have also brought him recognition from prominent national figures.
The Lord’s Mark listing has consequently added another significant chapter to Karulkar’s profile as an investor involved in complex capital-market transactions and corporate restructuring.
