PRD personnel to get honorarium during illness: Rekha Arya

The Sports and Welfare minister, Rekha Arya, said that if Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD) personnel are hospitalised due to illness, their honorarium would no longer be withheld for six months. She said she had issued these instructions to the officials concerned during a meeting held on Monday.
After the meeting, Arya said that the department would thoughtfully consider all legitimate demands from the PRD personnel. She also directed officials to find a more suitable term for the PRD personnel.
She further stated that instructions have been issued for increasing the financial assistance given to PRD personnel and ensuring the regular payment of honorariums in case of illness.
It is learnt that a demand was raised at the meeting for providing year-round employment at the meeting. In response, Arya instructed the departmental officials concerned to take steps in this direction.
The minister also reviewed preparations for the programmes to be held on PRD foundation day on December 11. Present at the meeting were special principal secretary (SPS) of Sports, Amit Sinha and director Ashish Chauhan besides the PRD representatives.
