In latest news from Uttarakhand, pre-screening of destination tour guide training was recently completed in Kumaun University. This training was organised with the help of several tourism-related departments and institutions. The objective of the programme was to train the local youngsters as tour-guides so that the tourism industry got boosted and local youth got employment opportunities. The eligibility age limit for this course was 18 to 50 years. Self-attested 12th class mark sheet and Aadhar card were also mandatory.
In all, 58 applicants appeared for interview and a total of 30 applicants were selected for the Destination tourguide 10-day training programme.
