The experts at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh have advised that pregnant women should get them vaccinated without any fear or hesitation. The director of AIIMS- Rishikesh, Dr Ravikant said that the pregnant women should compulsorily take the Covid-19 vaccine. He said that this vaccine is safe for everyone and pregnant women of any stage can get the Covid-19 vaccine. If vaccinated, both the mother and the unborn baby will be able to get a protective shield, he said.
The Chairperson of Covid-19 Immunization, Dr Vartika Saxena said that the vaccine is completely safe and reliable. “The mother and the unborn child both can be at risk if a pregnant woman gets Covid-19 infection. That is why it is necessary that every pregnant woman should get vaccinated,’’ he said.
