Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming Agniveer recruitment rally slated in Kotdwar in Pauri district from November 26 to 28. A meeting was held between the Army Recruitment Office (ARO), Lansdowne and the Pauri district administration to ensure that preparations regarding the recruitment process are completed in time. According to the Pauri district administration officers, the district magistrate had convened a meeting of all the stakeholders to review the arrangements being made for the ensuing Agniveer recruitment rally. The ARO has also intimated to all concerned that they are extra alert this time to prevent any fraudulent practice during the recruitment rally and the candidates have been told to be vigilant against any person out to extort money in lieu of assured selection during the rally. It is further learnt from the ARO sources that as the selection process is completely automated this time with multiple checks it is not possible for anyone to influence the selection by fraudulent means.
The office has asked the candidates to update their Aadhaar details and complete documentation formalities as given in rally notification to ensure that they do not face any problem during the rally. The candidates have also been advised to come fully prepared for the changing weather condition with the onset of winter.
Nearly 3,500 candidates from seven districts of Garhwal region are expected to attend the rally this time. The ARO has assured that it would render all assistance to the candidates, especially those hailing from the remote, mountainous areas.
