Prepare DPR in 3 months to make Tehri lake global tourist destination- CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed WAPCOS to prepare a detailed project report within three months to develop the Tehri dam reservoir into a world class tourist destination. He issued this direction while visiting the lake here during his visit to the Tehri district on Saturday. He said that a project has been sanctioned to create the infrastructure and streamline arrangements around the lake to boost tourism. This project will provide employment to many local people. The chief minister said that the government is making every effort to develop the Tehri lake into a world-class tourist destination.
Agriculture minister Subodh Uniyal, MLAs Dhan Singh Negi, Vijay Singh Panwar, Shakti Lal Shah, district magistrate Eva Ashish Srivastava, senior superintendent of police Tripti Bhatt and others were also present on the occasion.
Dhami also held a meeting with officials and reviewed various works. He checked the status of Covid vaccination, schemes related to the food and civil supplies department, Jal Jeevan mission, Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana, CM helpline, Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana and other schemes of the government with the district level officials.
Officials informed that 407 beneficiaries had been identified for the Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana while 640 out of the 740 kits received had been distributed under the Mukhyamantri Mahalakshmi kit distribution scheme. Approval had been received in principle for 107 out of 201 cases of forest land transfer while 57 proposals were approved and four are pending at the level of the chief conservator of forests. Dhami also sought information about action taken regarding rural motor roads blocked due to rain and related reasons. He phoned JCB operators from the meeting and asked about their information and other relevant details. The chief minister said that the government is working to resolve pendency considering which no cases should be left pending from the state administration level down to the district level. To ensure redressal of the issues of the general public reaching government offices from distant villages, all officials should compulsorily remain present in their offices from 10 AM to 12 PM. The officials should fully utilise the opportunity they have received to serve the public, he added. Cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal, MLAs Dhan Singh Negi, Pritam Singh Panwar, Vijay Singh Panwar, Shakti Lal Shah, Vinod Kandari, other public representatives and officials were also present in the meeting.
