President Murmu to preside over IGNFA convocation today

President Droupadi Murmu will preside over the convocation ceremony of Indian Forest Service probationers of 2022-24 training course at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) here on Wednesday. The academy officials informed that the training course consists of 99 IFS probationers and two foreign trainees from Bhutan.  The State of Madhya Pradesh is going to get the maximum 15 officers from the current batch while Uttarakhand will get the services of three officers.

Formerly known as Indian Forest College, the IGNFA has been serving the nation since 1926. All the IFS officers of independent India and 365 forest officers from 14 friendly nations have been trained at this institute so far.

A number of awards will be announced for outstanding achievements in the training to the IFS probationers and foreign trainees, officials said.
