PRI holds discussion on herbs & traditional knowledge

Scientists and students from across India participated in the Jigyasa programme organised at Patanjali Research Institute in Haridwar on Saturday. The head of Traditional Knowledge and Herb Development Foundation Nirmal Kumar Awasthi and former deputy director of the National Medicinal Plants Board Sushil Kumar Upadhyay addressed the gathering on the occasion. The speakers stressed on the conservation and development of traditional herbal knowledge and medicinal herbs.
Speaking at the conclusion of the programme, Acharya Balkrishna informed the gathering about the works being undertaken by Patanjali. He stressed on evidence based Ayurveda while also speaking about the medicinal herbs museum and other aspects
