Programmes to be organised to mark Bipin Rawat’s 3rd death anniversary

In latest news from Doon, like previous two years, Devbhoomi Vikas Sansthan is hosting programmes on December 7 to commemorate the tragic air crash death of the former Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat. Its chairman and former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat who is now Haridwar MP said that Uttarakhand would never forget Rawat who embodied the valour and sacrifice the State is known for. “His memory will never fade out of Uttarakhand’s collective mind. The whole country is grateful to him for the outstanding works he did for the defence sector,” he said, adding that this year too, commemorative memorial programmes would be held to mark his death anniversary.    

Last year, blood donation and health camps were organised in Kotdwar and Dehradun. A series of memorial lectures on several facets of Rawat’s work and personality was hosted too. Rawat’s younger daughter Tarini was present.
