Protection of scriptures will spread Sanatan: Swami Ramdev

While inaugurating the fourth ‘Swarn Shalaka’ competition at the University of Patanjali here on Saturday, the chancellor of the university Swami Ramdev stressed on the assimilation of the traditions enshrined in the scriptures. The competition is being held under the joint aegis of the departments of Philosophy and Sanskrit under the Faculty of Humanities and Oriental Studies of the university. He further said that the principal inspiration for yoga comes from the scriptures and their authors-the Rishis.
Addressing the gathering, the vice- chancellor of the university Acharya Balkrishna said that following scriptures would ensure the followers’ protection and upward growth, adding that this university has been playing a pivotal role in the preservation of Sanatan traditions. The chief coordinator of the competition, Sadhvi Devpriya said that 475 students are participating in it.
