Provide impetus to development of country: PM to youth

Addressing the programme in a virtual mode, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the National Education Policy (NEP) -2020 is preparing the youth for the new millennium. He said that both the Union and the Uttarakhand governments are working in the direction of ensuring that every youngster gets new avenues as per his interests. He said that there is a need to change the perception of ‘the water of mountains and youth are of no use for the mountains’.
The PM added that the union government is making efforts to ensure that the youngsters of Uttarakhand come back to their villages. He said that the construction of new roads and rail projects are not only improving connectivity but also creating new opportunities of employment.
The PM said that the tourism sector is developing in Uttarakhand because faraway places have been linked with road, rail and internet. New tourist spots are coming up in the tourism maps due to which the youngsters are getting employment locally. The PM said that the current time is Amrit Kal (golden phase) for the youngsters of the country and exhorted them to give impetus to the development of the country by their services.
