Doctor Ajay Kumar of AIIMS Rishikesh said that the PSA plant of 1,000 litre oxygen capacity in the institute has been built under the PM CARES fund by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). He said that the plant would reduce dependency on the liquid oxygen substantially.
The AIIMS- R doctor said that apart from catering the patient load during the probable third wave of the pandemic of Covid-19, the plant would help in oxygen supply during the times of crisis such as natural disaster.
