The member of the fact finding committee of Congress party, PL Punia continued deliberations with the party leaders and office bearers on Friday. The committee is sent by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) to investigate the causes of the loss of the party in all the five constituencies in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
On Friday, Punia reviewed the Garhwal, Tehri Lok Sabha and Haridwar LS constituencies. He met the former MPs, MP candidates, MLAs and former MLAs in the review sessions. He also took feedback from the leaders on the cause of the defeat of the party candidates. On Saturday, Punia will meet senior party leaders and the presidents of frontal organizations, departments and cells of the State Congress. He will return to New Delhi on Saturday afternoon. After holding discussions with senior leaders and various functionaries the committee will submit its report to the party president Mallikarjun Kharge.
