Punjabi Mahasabha felicitates Mahant of Udasin Panchayati Akhara

In latest news from Uttarakhand, to mark the birth anniversary of Acharya Shri Chandra of Shri Panchayati Udasin Akhara, the akhara’s mahant Govind Das was presented a replica of the Ram temple of Ayodhya on behalf of the Punjabi Mahasabha Uttarakhand at Kankhal. Among those present at the felicitation included Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Trust’s general secretary Champat Rai. The social worker and the state patron of Punjabi Mahasabha Jagdish Lal Pahwa presented Mahant Das with the replica.
Rai described the traditions of Udasin Panchayati Bada Akhara as instrumental in preservation and propagation of Sanatan Dharma. Mahant Das said he had been following the path shown by Shri Chandra Acharya through fulfilment of social responsibility and performance of religious errands. Pahwa in his address said that the young saints like Mahant Das are working with whole-hearted dedication to advance religious traditions in the society.
