Purbo Diganta Foundation (PDF), a prominent voluntary organisation based in New Delhi, celebrated its 7th Annual Day and Founder’s Day on Saturday at the Godavari Auditorium, New Delhi, with an evening filled with artistic brilliance and cultural vibrancy.

Coinciding with World Poetry Day, the event brought together a diverse audience for a memorable confluence of music, poetry and performance. The celebration not only showcased artistic talent but also rekindled a deep appreciation for poetry and cultural expression among attendees.

The highlight of the evening was the captivating presence of renowned actor, performer and vocalist Anirban Bhattacharya, whose multifaceted artistry left a lasting impression on the audience. Sharing the stage, the acclaimed Bengali rock band Hooli-gaan-ism delivered a powerful performance, blending music with compelling social narratives that resonated strongly with the crowd.

The evening was further enriched by outstanding performances from celebrated artists Didhiti Chakraborty and Naresh Nandi, who brought together diverse musical and poetic traditions. The foundation’s choir group added a melodic charm with their soulful renditions, while children from Purvoday School touched hearts with their heartfelt poetry recitations.

Adding to the festive spirit, members of Ichchhe Bitan presented lively performances that energised the audience and contributed to the joyous atmosphere. The seamless blend of sound, words, and artistic expression made the evening a truly memorable cultural gathering in the capital.

Beyond the cultural showcase, the event also highlighted Purbo Diganta Foundation’s ongoing commitment to social welfare. The organization continues to support underprivileged communities through initiatives such as a permanent education center for children and a skill development and self-reliance center for women under its “Purvoday” initiative.

Over the years, PDF has remained steadfast in its mission, collaborating with various organisations and mobilising resources to uplift marginalised sections of society. Guided by the belief that meaningful social change is achieved through consistent small efforts, the foundation continues to work towards building a more inclusive and compassionate society.

The organisers expressed their sincere gratitude to all artists, participants, and attendees whose enthusiastic support and presence made the celebration a resounding success.
