Congress throws its might to make the rally a big success

The Uttarakhand Congress has thrown its full might to make the rally of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Dehradun a success. He would address the rally at Parade Ground on Thursday afternoon. The Congress has erected hoardings, banners and posters in all parts of the city. The party leadership has given targets of bringing people to all leaders of the party in the rally. The teams of the Congress workers were seen moving in all the 100 wards of the city to prepare for the success of Rahul Gandhi. Apart from Dehradun city the leaders of neighbouring Mussoorie, Chakrata, Vikasnagar, Rishikesh and Haridwar have been asked to bring maximum people to the rally. The Congress workers and leaders from all 13 districts of the state are expected to take part in the rally. For Uttarakhand Congress the rally of Rahul Gandhi assumes significance as it would set the election campaign of the party rolling in the state.
Senior Congress leader R P Raturi said that the rally of Rahul Gandhi would be historic in terms of attendance of people. He said that there is great enthusiasm among the Congress workers and they are converging in Dehradun on their own. Raturi claimed that the rally of Rahul Gandhi would be much bigger than PM Modi’s rally at the same venue earlier this month.
