In latest news from Uttarakhand, the former Congress president Rahul Gandhi met his cousin and BJP MP from Philibhit Varun Gandhi on the last day of the former’s three-day ‘personal visit’ at the revered shrine amidst speculation in the political circles over possible switch of the dissident BJP MP to the Congress. Taking serious note of Varun Gandhi repeatedly speaking out against the party, the BJP brass has already made it clear that he would not be re-nominated for the Philibhit Lok Sabha seat. Later, Rahul Gandhi left Kedarnath and boarded chopper for Dehradun.
