Railways cancels maiden Astha Special train from Doon to Ayodhya

In latest news from Uttarakhand, in view of huge number of pilgrims thronging Ayodhya to have darshan of Lord Ram in the newly consecrated temple, the Indian Railways cancelled the maiden Ayodhya special train scheduled to start from Haridwar station on January 25. It was scheduled to take 1600 devotees from Uttarakhand to Ayodhya on that day. The Railways said that they were firming up a new schedule for the trains to Ayodhya journeying in the first week of February. Notably, RSS and Viswa Hindu Parishad had booked tickets in the special train for January 25 to take devotees there. But now with the train being cancelled, they would board the Ayodhya special train scheduled to leave Dehradun at 11 am on February 1. Again, a special train for Ayodhya will leave Rishikesh at 11.40 am on February 8 and another special train will leave Haridwar at 1.15 pm on February 15.
