Railways to run two new Jan Shatabdis from Delhi to U’khand

Acting on the request made last month by the Rajya Sabha MP from Uttarakhand, Anil Baluni, the Union Railway minister Piyush Goyal has informed that the railways is planning to run two new Jan Shatabdi Express trains between Delhi and two cities of the state.

In his letter to Baluni, the Union minister has stated that considering the request made by Baluni in his letter dated November 17, the ministry is planning to run one Jan Shatabdi Express train daily between Delhi and Tanakapur and one Jan Shatabdi Express train daily between Delhi and Kotdwar. The timings of these trains will be communicated shortly. The minister has expressed hope that the introduction of these two trains will go a long way in providing better connectivity to the travelling passengers.
