In latest news from Dehradun, replying to a question of MLA Adesh Chauhan on the hardships being faced by the local people due to absence of a bridge on Fika river in Hajiron village under Jaspur assembly constituency of Udham Singh Nagar district, the State public works minister Satpal Maharaj told the House that till now they had received no letter on the bridge construction either from the people or the people’s representatives. “In case we receive such an appeal, approval will depend on the availability of financial resources,” he said and added that a large number of roads damaged by heavy rain during the monsoon season last year within the Jaspur assembly constituency limits had been repaired in the public interest.
In response to another question of Haldwani MLA Sumit Hridesh, he said that the PWD had been repairing roads within Haldwani assembly constituency limits also. “These are being made pothole free to ensure hassle-free traffic movement. The State government acts promptly to resolve complaints received from the people through mobile app,” he added.
