In latest news from Uttarakhand, a day after the portals of Yamunotri Dham opened and the annual Char Dham Yatra commenced, the pilgrims headed towards Yaminotri had to be stopped at Janki Chatti after heavy downpour lashed the region.
The Janki Chatti station house officer Santosh Kunwar said that the number of pilgrims for Yamunotri Dham was huge. Meanwhile, the regional meteorological centre director Bikram Singh said that it would rain in the Char Dham Yatra region till May 13.
