Light rain and cloudy skies greeted citizens of Utarakhand in most parts of the State on Thursday. The rain and lack of sunshine exacerbated the cold in various parts of the State. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, rainfall activity is forecast in all of the districts in the State on Friday. A yellow warning (Watch) has been issued by the department regarding the possibility in the State today. This is expected to be followed by days of clear skies.
It is pertinent to mention here that the weather in Uttarakhand has been fluctuating with days of clear skies and comparatively warmer temperatures alternating with days marked by snowfall and rain along with a drop in temperatures. According to the IMD, rainfall activity is likely in most parts of the State on Friday. This is likely to be followed by three days of dry weather.
Meanwhile, Dehradun witnessed light rain and cold weather starting in the wee hours of Thursday. The weather remained cloudy with trace rain and cold weather continuing throughout the day.
