Rain forecast again in the mountains, plains to remain warm and dry

Even as the temperatures continue to remain above normal in most parts of the State, the State Meteorological Centre has yet again forecast rain in various part of the State.The centre has forecast that light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at many places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and very light to light rainfall is likely to occur at a few places in Tehri, Dehradun, Pauri, Almora, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts on Tuesday. The State Meteorological Centre has also issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of  thunder with lightning likely to occur in Tehri , Dehradun, Pauri , Almora, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagrar districts.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky with the possibility of very light to light rain accompanied with thunder/lightning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 24 degrees Celsius and eight degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Monday were 25 degrees Celsius and 8.5 degrees Celsius respectivelyin Dehradun, 24.5 degrees Celsius and 5.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22 degrees Celsius and two degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar, 20.6 degrees Celsius and 4.6 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
