Rain forecast in 8 districts even as temperatures remain above normal

Even as temperatures have continued to remain above normal in various parts of the State, the weather is forecast to take a turn yet again. The State Meteorological Centre has forecast that very Light to light rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the State today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly to partly clear sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 28 degrees Celsius and eight degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Sunday were 25 degrees Cesius and 8.5 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 26 degrees Celsius and 5.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 15.9 degrees and two degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 16.8 degrees Celsius and 4.6 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
