Rain forecast in mountains today, Doon to remain dry

Even as dry weather continues in the State with days getting warmer and nights remaining cool, some mountainous regions of the State are likely to witness rain today. Dehradun may witness some cloud movement though rain is not forecast here. The State Meteorological Centre has forecast that very light to light rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts on Monday. Apart from this, drry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear to partly cloudy sky with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 29 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius respectively.

Meanwhile, temperatures remained above normal or normal in various parts of the State on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperatures were 28.1 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 28.6 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 18.5 degrees Celsius and five degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 18.4 degrees Celsius and 7.4 degrees Celsius in Tehri.
