The weather in Uttarakhand remaining mostly dry for a few days with slight rise in the mercury, the State meteorological department has come up with forecast of rain relief for three days from June 10. It has also issued yellow alert (watch) for these three days, saying that gusty winds with 70 kmph might lash several parts of the State on June 12. The State Met department chief Vikram Singh said that it may rain in some parts of Kumaon region on June 10. Along with lightning and rain, the region may experience storm of 40 kmph storm.
As per the weather forecast, rain with storm may occur in some districts like Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, Chamoli and Rudraprayag on June 8 and 9.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that monsoon has arrived in India with the onset of the southwest monsoon hitting Kerala.
