The rainy weather and snowfall is likely to continue in various parts of the State today. The State meteorological centre has also issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/hail likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of the State today. The meteorological centre has forecast that light to moderate rain/ thunderstorm/ snowfall are very likely to occur at many places in the districts on Saturday while snowfall is likely to occur at places situated at altitudes of 3,500 metres and above.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy skies with light rain/ thunderstorms accompanied with lightning likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 28 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various places in the State on Friday were 27.9 degrees Celsius and 14.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 28.9 degrees Celsius and 11.8 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 18 degrees Celsius and 6.6 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 18 degrees Celsius and 8.9 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
