Rain & snowfall likely in three mountainous districts today

The cold is likely to intensify in the mountainous regions of the State in the coming days. The State meteorological centre has forecast that very light to light rain/snow is likely to occur at isolated places in Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts of the State on Wednesday. Further, snowfall is also likely to occur at places situated at altitudes of 4,000 metres and above in these districts. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 31 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday wre 30.2 degrees Celsius and 13.4 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 29.6 degrees Celsius and 15.1 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 19.5 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23 degrees Celsius and 10.5 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
