The rainy weather appears to have left the plains for now though it is still continuing in some parts of the mountainous regions. Despite the weather being clear in the plains, the temperatures have not yet risen to the level there had reached about three weeks ago. Amidst this scenario, the State meteorological centre has forecast that very light to light rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at isolated places in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on Tuesday. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the State.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is expected to witness a mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Monday were 33.6 degrees Celsius and 18.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34.6 degrees Celsius and 18.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 21.3 degrees Celsius and 10.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 22.9 degrees Celsius and 11.5 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
