Rain & thunderstorms likely in five mountainous districts today

After weather warnings during a brief spell of three days the meteorological centre has not issued any warning for Wednesday. However, light rain and thunderstorms are likely in some parts of the State. The State meteorological centre has forecast that very light to light rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts of the State today. Dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts.
The meteorological centre has further forecast that the provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to witness a mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday were 35.1 degrees Celsius and 19.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 36.5 degrees Celsius and 19.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 25.4 degrees Celsius and 7.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 26.2 degrees Celsius and 10.5 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
