The spell of intermittent rain being experienced since Thursday after a period of dry and hot days is likely to continue on Sunday. The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (watch) regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in the mountains of the State today. Light to moderate rain / thunderstorms are likely to occur at a few places in the mountains and at isolated places in the plains of the State on Sunday.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience a mainly clear to partly cloudy sky. Light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 32 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
