The Dehradun district administration on Friday issued a notice to the accused in the Raipur shootout case Devendra Bharadwaj alias Sonu to remove the encroachment at Dobhal Chowk within three days. The order issued by the Dehradun sub divisional magistrate stated that Bharadwaj had constructed a dairy on 66 square metres of land in the Raipur area.

The Revenue department and the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun analysed the records of the said land on June 20 and prepared their report. It is clear from the report that the accused Bharadwaj have encroached upon the said land, as per the notice. It further stated, “You are informed through this notice that you should ensure to remove the said encroachment within three days after receiving this notice. Otherwise, the administration will have to act forcefully to remove the encroachment.

The administration will also recover all the expenses done on the demolition by you.” The officials informed that the notice was served to the accused’s family on Friday itself. They were asked to remove the encroachment by Monday or else, the administration will demolish it on Tuesday. Bharadwaj is one of the prime accused among seven accused in the Raipur shootout case in which Deepak Badola alias Ravi died and Subhash Chhetri and Manoj Negi sustained severe injuries. They are currently undergoing treatment in the Mahant Indiresh Hospital.

The Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh said that the police are also analysing the properties of other accused involved in the case and will take action against them under the Gangster Act.
