In latest news from Uttarkashi, with the country gearing up for the Lok Sabha election whose schedule is expected to be announced any time, a voter awareness campaign was organised under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme of the Election Commission in the B Ed department of Ram Chandra Uniyal Government Post-Graduate College in Uttarkashi.
While the principal Prof Savita Gairola unscored the need of every eligible voter exercising franchise to make the electoral engagement a vibrant exercise, poster and speech competitions were organised with the participation of B Ed trainees highlighting the importance of electing lawmakers strictly on merit.
