Ramnagar MLA demands action on abusive demonstration during CM’s hospital visit

Annoyed by the demonstration staged by a section of the people when the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami came to meet the people injured in the Almora accident at Ramnagar Hospital, the Ramnagar MLA Diwan Singh Bisht said on Wednesday that action should be taken against those who had verbally abused the CM. “It is sad that some people hurled abuses on the CM who, immediately on hearing about the accident, swung into action, rushed from Delhi and lost no time in sending the injured to AIIMS Rishikesh by air ambulance. At his initiative, several of the injured were ferried to referral centres. This aside, he ordered a magisterial inquiry into the causes behind the mishap. We, therefore, fail to understand the logic behind some people resorting to verbal abuse against him when he went to meet the injured at the hospital to boost their morale and ensure nothing is found wanting in their treatment,” the MLA said while addressing the media persons at Ramnagar.
He further said that the CM represents the whole State and its people. “We have collected information about the demonstration and submitted it to the Nainital district senior superintendent of police. We demanded action against those who denigrated the State by verbally abusing the CM who was here on a noble mission,” he added.
