A student from Government Inter College Badasi in Dehradun, Anushka Rana, attributed her success in securing the top position in the class XII board examination results under the Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) to her decision to avoid social media during her studies. The UVSP announced the results for both class X and class XII on Saturday, in which she became the State topper. Rana expressed her excitement about achieving the state topper position with an impressive score of 98.6 per cent in class XII. She said that her dedication to her studies led to this achievement and she also received a phone call from Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat, who congratulated her on her success.
She said that her achievement is a result of her passion for her studies. She typically dedicated an average of seven to eight hours each day to prepare for the board examinations. She added that her father is a teacher and his new techniques for explaining each topic have been beneficial. Moreover, during this preparation period, she had distanced herself from social media. Rana expressed her aspiration to become a doctor and is currently preparing for the NEET exam. She encourages other students to maintain consistency and focus on understanding the material rather than relying solely on rote memorisation to achieve good grades at every level.
