Randomisation of 5,888 personnel complete for ULB polls in Dehradun

To facilitate the successful conduct of the urban local body election in Dehradun, the first randomisation of 5,888 personnel was completed on Tuesday, with the presence of district magistrate Savin Bansal.
Bansal informed that a total of 5,888 personnel, including reserve personnel, were randomised for a total of 1,071 booths across two municipal corporations, four municipal councils and one Nagar Panchayat in the district. This includes 20 pink booths under the Municipal Corporation Dehradun (MCD) and five for Municipal Corporation of Rishikesh (MCR).
He further directed the officers to promptly provide the information of the personnel appointed for the election to the relevant department heads. This is to ensure that personnel are relieved from their current duties in time for necessary election duty training, he said.
To provide more details, Bansal noted that there would be 1,135 polling parties with 4,540 personnel assigned to 845 booths for Municipal Corporation Dehradun (MCD). For MCR there would be 118 polling parties with 472 personnel assigned to 86 booths. Additional allocations include 89 polling parties with 356 personnel for 59 booths under municipal council Doiwala, 48 polling parties with 192 personnel for 30 booths of municipal council Mussoorie, 35 polling parties with 140 personnel for 22 booths of municipal council Vikasnagar, 23 polling parties with 92 personnel for 14 booths of municipal council Herbertpur, and finally, 24 polling parties with 96 personnel for 15 booths of municipal Panchayat Selaqui, he added.
