Police filed Pocso case against accused

In latest news from Uttarakhand, coming close on the heels of the brutal rape and murder of a trainee doctor at a government hospital in Kolkata which has sent shockwaves across the country and triggered a nationwide ferment, a rape attempt was made on a minor girl at the government Susheela Tiwari Hospital in Haldwani. As per police, they had filed a case under POCSO act against the accused on the basis of the complaint filed by the survivor’s brother.
Her brother said that the accused had tried to rape her by taking her to the fourth floor of the medical facility building. According to him, his sister was staying at the hospital to attend on their aunt who was admitted there.
