In latest Uttarakhand news, Ramnagar police have registered a case against a man identified as Kasim, resident of village Salempur in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl from Ramnagar in Nainital district. Police informed that the girl’s grandfather, residing in the rural areas of Ramnagar, had lodged the complaint against Kasim, accusing the latter of repeatedly subjecting his granddaughter to sexual assault in several hotels in Ramnagar after they had befriended on Instagram about three years ago. As per the complaint, Kasim earlier assured the girl that he would marry her but later backed down when pressed on marriage. Police said that they have started investigation into the matter.
