In latest Uttarakhand news, Nainital police registered a rape case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code against a youth after a girl who came to visit Nainital from Moradabad filed complaint against him in the Tallital police station, stating that he had raped her on the false promise of marriage.
Sharing details about the case, the Tallital police officers said that as per the complaint, a love affair had been going on between the complainant and the accused identified as Shamshad, resident of Bhojpur, Moradabad, for the past one and half years. However, he recently proposed marriage with her and took her to Nainital. While they were staying in a hotel, he forced himself on her. Tallital police station in-charge Rohitash Singh Sagar said that the medical examination of the girl is being conducted while a case has been registered against the accused.
