The education minister Dhan Singh Rawat congratulated the State government teacher Kusumlata Gadiya for being selected for the National Teachers’ Awards 2024. Rawat expressed his happiness over the school being made a centre of special attraction of the nation for motivating students through means like technical innovation and quality education.
Gadiya, a teacher of the Government Higher Secondary School at Veena in the border district Chamoli, has been selected as one of the 50 best teachers in the country for her exemplary work in the field of education. She will be presented the national teachers award by the President at a function to be organised at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on Teachers’ Day on September 5.
Lauding Gadiya’s innovative efforts in education as commendable and inspirational for other teachers, he said that teachers like Gadiya usher in revolutionary changes in the field of education.
It is pertinent to mention here that Gadiya was bestowed with the Shailesh Matiyani Award by the State government in 2023 in recognition of her admirable work in the field of education.
