Rawat distributes cooperatives bank appointment letters to 167 candidates

The State Cooperative minister Dhan Singh Rawat handed appointment letters to 167 selected candidates for positions in the cooperative banks here on Wednesday. They will be joining such banks in Tehri, Haridwar, Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Almora, Kotdwar and Chamoli districts. The selections were made for the positions of class 3 and class 2 clerks, junior assistants, junior branch managers and senior branch managers through the IBPS examination.
Speaking on the occasion, Rawat said that working in the banking sector is a significant responsibility. “I am sure they will rise up to the challenge,” he said.
Further, the State’s Cooperative secretary Dilip Jawalkar said that the State government has been continually striving to make Uttarakhand one of the best states in the country. “Efforts are being made to strengthen the State’s banking system further,” he added.
