Former chief minister Harish Rawat has expressed concern over the delay in announcement of the student union election date in Uttarakhand. He said this in response to NSUI leader Harish Joshi climbing a tower to protest against the delay on Tuesday. Rawat stated that he felt very tense witnessing Joshi’s actions. He urged the government to declare the student union election date as soon as possible. Further, he made it clear that if the government continues to ignore the students’ demand for the student union election, he would also be willing to climb a tower like Joshi did.
