Rawat launches schemes worth Rs 8.46 crore in Nainital

The Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat launched schemes worth Rs 8.46 crore for government schools in Nainital district at an event in Haldwani on Thursday. The minister launched the schemes at an event held at the government inter college in Halduchaud.

The schemes launched include Rs 600 lakh worth of work at PM Shri government inter college, Halduchaud and government girls inter college, Ramnagar where a Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose hostel will be constructed. Further, Rs 80 lakh will be spent for construction of physics, chemistry and biology laboratories at Kotabagh government girls inter college and Rs 88.56 lakh will be spent on additional classrooms, arts and crafts rooms in government model inter college Kotabagh and government girls inter college Jawahar Jyoti.

Speaking on the occasion, Rawat said that the State government is consistently working to enhance the education system. As part of these efforts, the State government is focusing on establishing cluster schools in mountainous districts and remote areas while also facitating boarding facility in such schools. The government is also establishing Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose hostels in various government schools to support deprived children and facilitate quality education for them.

Earlier, the Lalkuan MLA Mohan Singh Bisht communicated various issues of the constituency to the minister. Rawat assured that the government will respond positively to the demands raised by the MLA.
