Red Cross serving humanity selflessly: Governor

The governor lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh has said that the Red Cross Society is selflessly serving humanity. In a message on the occasion of the World Red Cross Day, Singh said that the Red Cross is working on the mantra of ‘Manav Seva Paramo Dharma’ in serving mankind. He congratulated all the people associated with the Red Cross on the occasion of World Red Cross Day.
The governor said that the work done by Red Cross volunteers in the spirit of service, dedication and charity is highly commendable. He said that this year the theme of World Red Cross Day is ‘keeping humanity alive’ while maintaining human dignity. Singh said everyone needs to work together with full dedication towards humanitarian service. He said that Uttarakhand is sensitive to natural disasters and has adverse geographical conditions. The Red Cross is a symbol of hope, compassion and kindness for the victims and people affected by the disasters, he added.
