Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (Democratic), Rajya Swaraj Party (RSP) and other six organisations have formed an alliance to fight against the dominance of Congress and BJP in Uttarakhand in the 2022 assembly elections.
Addressing the mediapersons in a Press conference on Friday, the national president of UKD (Democratic) Balwendra Singh Negi said that this alliance is an initiative to establish a third front in the state in order to give the public an alternative to elect leaders other than the two dominant parties. He said that due to the lack of viable choices in political parties, the people are compelled to choose from only two parties which have severely affected the development of Uttarakhand. He informed that the parties which have formed the alliance are UKD (Democratic), RSP, Uttarakhand Pragatishil Party, Matra Shakti Sewa Sangathan and recognised organisations of statehood activists.
The president of RSP, Devendra Bhatt said that this alliance is formed for the development of the state and it is just a beginning. He said that this alliance represents the unity of the regional political parties which will grow with time and every member will be dedicated to the development of the state.
